Rising Tide, 2012

Oceanic water covers 71% of the earth surface. Changes in climate lead to comprehensive amounts of rainfall and thus more dynamic rising water levels in the rivers, stream courses and lake reservoirs.

These images are made to complete the pH 8.17 series of seascapes with streaming waters from rivers. This work is titled "Rising Tide" and reflects the weather change as a general topic. Some images are taken during the floods in spring 2013 in Germany, but the series is still in progress to be finalized in a book about water and our thoughtless use of this element. Further work will be added to cover a more general topic of water in the coming future.

The images are exhibitioned as pigmented ink prints on archival baryt paper to a image size of 60 x 90 cm.
